Mar Ivanios, the father of re-union movement, the
founder of Bethany Ashram and First Archbishop of Malankara Catholic
Church is honored with "DAIVADASAN" - "THE SERVANT OF GOD".
Major Archbishop Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos
announced the blessing news at the time of Holy Mass on 14 July,
2007, on the occasion of 54th Mar Ivanios Day at St. Mary's
Cathedral, Pattom, Trivandrum. His Grace will be known as "Daivadasan
Archbishop Mar Ivanios".
Archbishop Thomas Mar Koorilos, Secretary of
Malankara Catholic Synod read the Synod Declaration, and Bishop
Joshua Mar Ignathios, Bishop of Mavelikara continued in malayalam.
The declaration is done at the presence of the pilgrims - believers,
priests and nuns from different dioceses, who arrived as Pilgrimage
to the Tomb of Mar Ivanios.

The Holy Mass is
consecrated by Major Archbishop Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos,
together with Archbishop Thomas Mar Koorilos, Bishop Geevarghese Mar
Divannasios, Bishop Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom, Bishop Joshua Mar
Ignathios, Bishop Geevarghese Mar Timothios, Bishop Jacob Mar
Barnabas and Mgr. John Varghese Eswarankudiyil.
